Shanghai Fengda Coating Engineering Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of China Shipping Industry Co., Ltd.(CIC) and the coating team for CIC's shipyards. There are 40 people for management, 25 persons of them work on site for project management, there are about 350 employers working for coating. Its services include:cargo hold&hull re-coating, tank recoating and other special coatings, such as Swedish Sealcoat, a environmentally sound anti-fouling system.

With abundant resources of CIC, such as floating docks, wharfs, shore cranes and power supply, combining with its own coating equipments, Fengda Coating is able to provide efficient and high-quality coating services to foreign or domestic shipowners. In recent years, Fengda Coating has been cooperating with SPEEDO and PEINIGER to accomplish several product and chemical tanker re-coating projects for Norwegian, Brazilian and German shipowners. In order to improve tanker coating technical standard and managerial efficiency, Fengda Coating has also set up a training course by a Nowegian corrosion protection and coating specialist in the mid of 1999. The course is certified by MARINTEC institute of Norway.
